Registration

Regular registration fee is 15,000 JPY (approx.140USD) and 7,5000 JPY (approx. 70USD). Registration fee for an attendee without any presentation is same. Accompanied person does not need to register.

Banquet will be organized on June 6th, which will be supported by sponsors. Participants paid full registration fee in advance are invited. An extra banquet ticket for an accompanied person is available on the conference web page. A person registered on-site during the conference should buy an extra ticket to join the banquet. Extra banquet tickets are limited.

For presenters / participants

For oral presenters, you have 15 minutes. There is no time for questions at the end of your talk. Instead, the round table at the end of the session will provide room for discussion of the session theme. You will be asked to be a panelist of the round table. Session chair will encourage discussion. A PC (Windows 7), an external speaker and a laser pointer will be prepared at the podium. You can use your own computer as well.

For poster presenters, you have a space of 150 cm in height and 110 cm in width. Poster session is scheduled on Wednesday (June 6) afternoon. Display your poster on Tuesday (June 5) so that participants can take a look in advance. Check the number of your poster in the program and find your poster board. Push pins will be prepared. Remove your poster by 15:30 on Thursday (June 7). If you need AC power, let me know.

Every morning at 9:00 at the west entrance of Hakodate station, our bus will take you to the conference site directly. Conference staffs will be there.

We recommend you to bring lunch box or buy a lunch ticket at the registration desk. Nearest grocery store is 10 minutes by walk.

We recommend to book your hotel nearby the Hakodate station or close to any tram stations. Free bus service will be provided every morning and evening from/to Hakodate station. The tram station "Hakodate Dock mae" is 10 minutes walk to the conference building.

City: Hakodate is a beautiful exotic city in the northern Japan (Hokkaido).

Access: Tokyo/Haneda (HND) airport is most convenient. Frequent connecting flights to Hakodate (HKD) are available. Bullet train SHINKANSEN from Tokyo station is another choice. Also, Tokyo/Narita (NRT), Sapporo, Nagoya/Centrair (NGO), Osaka/Kansai (KIX) are possible international gateways. Direct international flights from Taipei, Taiwan (TPE) to Hakodate airport (HKD) currently commute every day.

About conference

Background

This symposium is the Asian version of Oceanoise conference, which has been held biennially since 2015. Potential participants includes researchers, students, and persons engaged in environmental impact assessments at government and private facilities.

Format

Scientific committee will evaluate and organize the submitted abstracts to form several sessions. Round table discussion will follow after each session, which is the same as Oceanoise conference. In addition, a long poster session that encourages close discussion will be organized.
